Asphalt Contractor Case Studies: Real Pavement, Real Results Across Michigan

From a single Marshall driveway to a multi-site commercial portfolio.

Every project reflects an honest recommendation and pavement built to survive a Michigan winter.

How We Approach Every Asphalt and Concrete Project

Every job starts with a walk of the property, not a sales pitch. Our estimators look at drainage, cracking patterns, subgrade condition, and traffic load before recommending anything, because a pothole patch on failing base asphalt is a waste of a property owner's money.

We explain the reasoning behind every recommendation: what the problem is, what happens if it sits through another freeze/thaw cycle, and whether sealcoating, patching, resurfacing, or full replacement is the right call. As a commercial asphalt contractor and residential asphalt maintenance provider, we treat a school parking lot and a homeowner's driveway with the same standard: fix the right problem the first time.

The projects below reflect that approach, with a crew that shows up in pink, across commercial parking lots, ADA upgrades, drainage corrections, and residential driveways throughout our Michigan service area.

What good work looks like

Judging Before-and-After Results on Your Property

A clean sealcoating job should look uniform and matte black, not glossy or streaky, with crisp striping lines and no puddling in low spots once the asphalt emulsion sealcoating has cured. Crack sealing should sit flush with the surface, not raised in a ridge that catches a plow blade or a shovel edge. If a crew rushes a job to beat the weather, those are the details that show it.

On repair and replacement work, a sound result means the new asphalt or concrete flatwork is pitched correctly for drainage, compacted to spec, and tied into the surrounding pavement without a visible seam that will crack again by next spring. We walk every completed project with the property owner so there is no guessing about what was done and why.

We also tell customers when a project does not need the most expensive fix. If a lot only needs crack filling and sealcoating rather than full resurfacing, that is what we recommend, because a customer who trusts our judgment on the small jobs is the customer who calls us back for the big ones.
